As a consultant and adviser in open data and information management, being independent is important to me. My clients should know that I work in their best interests and no one else’s. Because of this, I have on a couple of occasions turned down offers from companies that wanted me to become a reseller of their technical solutions.
What I have had is a collaboration with Metasolutions whereby they could offer me as a speaker on open data in general in connection with selling their product Entryscape. However, we have never actually carried out any joint work in practice or made any financial transactions between us. To remove any possible uncertainty about this and to ensure my independence, I am ending this collaboration and wish Metasolutions and Entryscape the best of luck in the future.
